Annual awards gala shines spotlight on 
“Sustainability for All”

Mayor Foxx began his political career in 2005, serving two terms as an At-Large representative before being elected Mayor in 2009.  During his time on the city council and in his current role as Mayor, Foxx continues to work tirelessly to create more green jobs and more innovative solutions to environmental challenges in the city.

Pride is rolling out the ‘green’ carpet at this year’s event, which will also feature the ‘So You Think You Can Sing’ Karaoke Contest.  The first place winner will receive an Energy-Saving Whirl-Pool Kitchen Suite courtesy of Lowe’s and the second place winner will receive a piece of estate jewelry donated by Perry’s at Southpark.
